Regular Season Round 3: Importadora - Iccan 69-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Iccan (2-1) in Ambato on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Importadora (2-1) 69-67. Importadora looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Tavares Sledge (203-92, college: USC Aiken, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Jerel Blocker (193-88, college: Lee) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Importadora players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) with 18 points and the former international center Carlos Carcelen (202-81) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Importadora is looking forward to face Juvenil (#7) in Vinces in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Iccan will play at home against Triple E-Uda (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
