Regular Season Round 14: Dongbu - Hunan 76-90

Bottom-ranked Dongbu (0-14) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to third ranked Hunan (10-4) 90-76. The game without a history. Hunan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Dongbu's 40. American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) notched a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and center Wei Zhang (203-84) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 23 points by point guard Tujun Shen (185-92) did not help to save the game for Dongbu. Guard Yi Jiang (195-93) added 18 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hunan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Shaanxi W. Dongbu at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Hunan will play against Anhui (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dongbu will play against Guangxi (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
