There was a small surprise in Rockhampton where twelfth ranked Clippers (4-11) won against 10th ranked Cyclones (5-11) 88-70 on Friday. Clippers made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Clippers outrebounded Cyclones 47-31 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Erica Carlson (193-88, college: Dixie St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds and Calia Hanks who added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Clippers players scored in double figures. Christina Boag responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Jordan Reynolds (180-95, college: Tennessee) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Cyclones' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Clippers maintains twelfth position in League with 4-11 record. Loser Cyclones keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. Clippers will face higher ranked Flames (#5) in Townsville in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
