Rather predictable result when first ranked Geelong Supercats (17-4) smashed at home 4th ranked Spectres (9-12) 83-64 on Friday. Geelong Supercats forced 19 Spectres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ebony Rolph (181-94) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Chantel-Anais Horvat (182-98) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Geelong Supercats players scored in double figures. American center Megan Kritscher (195-89, college: Sacramento St.) responded with 26 points and 4 blocks and her fellow American import guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Geelong Supercats maintains first position in League with 17-4 record. Loser Spectres keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Geelong Supercats will face Lady Bandits (#7) in Albury in the next round where they are favorite. Spectres will play at home against Nationals and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
