No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Cairns Marlins (10-5) beat at home 7th ranked Logan T. (9-8) 94-88 on Friday. Cairns Marlins looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a very good performance for point guard Damon Heuir (191-91, college: S.Utah) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Tevin Jackson (201-94, college: McNeese St.) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Michael Cedar (190-86) replied with 35 points (!!!) and center Nelson Kahler (206, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) added 14 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Logan T.Five Cairns Marlins and four Logan T. players scored in double figures. Cairns Marlins maintains fifth position in League with 10-5 record. Loser Logan T. keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Cairns Marlins will face Gladstone Port City Power (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
