Regular Season Round 22: Lakeside L. - Willetton T. 93-81

State League round 22 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader Tigers (20-6) against ninth ranked Lightning (12-15) 93-81 was the most important game of the last round. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Devon Atkinson (185, college: Morehead St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Corey Shervill (197) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Lightning players scored in double figures. Guard Damien Scott (190-92) replied with 22 points and 4 assists and American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tigers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lightning maintains ninth position in League with 12-15 record. Tigers at the other side dropped to the second place with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Mackay M.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
