Regular Season Round 22: Ipswich F. - Gold Coast R. 94-97

Date: July 28, 2017
Everything could happen in Booval at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Rollers and 11th ranked Ipswich Force had identical 4-11 record. But Ipswich Force was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Gold Coast 97-94 on Friday night. Rollers outrebounded Ipswich Force 50-37 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ipswich Force was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for New Zealand guard Tobias Cameron (193-99) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American swingman Devon Sullivan (201-86, college: S.Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Worth to mention Sullivan played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. American forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and guard Jaryd Eustace (201-94, college: Miami, OH) added 31 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ipswich Force. Five Rollers and four Ipswich Force players scored in double figures. Rollers (5-11) moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Ipswich Force dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Rollers will face Toowoomba Mountaineers (#14) at home in the next round. Ipswich Force will play against South West Metro Pirates and hope to win that game.
