No shocking result in a game in East Burwood where fourth ranked Spectres (9-12) won against 6th ranked Tigers (6-15) 75-70 on Saturday. Spectres made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Spectres outrebounded Tigers 45-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Georgia Stirton (173, college: Gonzaga) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Briana Babic scored 23 points and 4 assists. Spectres maintains fourth position in League with 9-12 record. Loser Tigers keep the sixth place with 15 games lost. Spectres will face Nationals (#5) in Belconnen in the next round. Tigers will play at home against the league's second-placed Lady Braves and hope to win that game.
