There was no surprise in Tullamarine where 10th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (2-18) were defeated by sixth ranked Hume City Broncos (11-9) 88-75 on Saturday. Hume City Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hume City Broncos made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Colleen Planeta (188-88, college: Point Loma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and Nicole Zammit who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists during the contest. Hume City Broncos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Kasey Burton (178-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. Hume City Broncos maintains sixth position in League with 11-9 record. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keep the tenth place with 18 games lost.
