Regular Season Round 22: Townsville H. - Logan T. 100-75

Rather predictable result when third ranked Townsville Heat (11-3) rolled over 7th ranked Logan T. (9-8) in Hermit Park 100-75 on Saturday. Townsville Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 assists. American power forward Justin Baker (203-89, college: Utah Valley) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Townsville Heat's coach Rod Anderson felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Nelson Kahler (206, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Bijan Johnson (185, college: N.Mex.Military) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Logan T.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Townsville Heat maintains third position in League with 11-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Mackay M. Loser Logan T. keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Townsville Heat will face Maroochydore Clippers (#12) in Cotton Tree in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
