Eighth-ranked Hawks (12-14) were very close to win a game against third ranked Buccaneers (19-7) in Wonthella on Saturday. Buccaneers managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a very good performance for American forward Dwayne Benjamin (201-93, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Aaron Ralph (200-89) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Brian Carlwell (211-87, college: San Diego St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Matthew Adekponya (194-90) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Hawks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hawks' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Buccaneers maintains third position in League with 19-7 record having just sixteen point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Hawks keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
