Regular Season Round 22: Bendigo B. - NW Tasmania 73-112

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Bendigo Braves (10-13) were outleveled at home by third ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (13-10) 112-73 on Saturday. NW Tasmania Thunder had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for forward Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Ahmad Starks (175-92, college: Illinois) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. Guard Dyami Starks (188-92, college: Bryant) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and power forward CJ Aiken (206-90, college: St.Joseph's) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bendigo Braves. Bendigo Braves' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. NW Tasmania Thunder maintains third position in League with 13-10 record having just seven point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Bendigo Braves keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face Dandenong Rangers (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bendigo Braves will play against Tigers in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
