Regular Season Round 14: Puente Alto - Brisas 79-47

The game with biggest result difference took place in Puente Alto. Local Puente Alto (10-4) outscored 5th ranked Brisas (5-9) 79-47. It looked good early as Brisas took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Puente Alto had a 25-16 second period charge getting the lead and Brisas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 47-79. Puente Alto dominated on the defensive end, holding Brisas to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Brisas 40-28 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Puente Alto especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. The former international forward Antonio Pinedo (195-94) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Francisco Pena (187-89) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points by guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-89) did not help to save the game for Brisas. Felipe Gutierrez (-92) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sportiva Italiana. Brisas at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost.
