Regular Season Round 22: BA CoE - Dandenong R. 58-81

Very expected game when 8th ranked BA CoE (2-13) was smashed at home by third ranked Dandenong Rangers (15-8) 81-58 on Sunday. Dandenong Rangers made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 BA CoE turnovers. Strangely BA CoE outrebounded Dandenong Rangers 44-26 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. BA CoE was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Chauncey Orr (193-93, college: Hawaii Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Felix Von-Hofe (196-93, college: E.Washington) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Matthew Johns (-99) replied with 7 points and 9 assists and center Mate Colina (208-99) added 11 points in the effort for BA CoE. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dandenong Rangers maintains third position in League with 15-8 record having just nine point less than leader Mackay M. Loser BA CoE keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face NW Tasmania Thunder (#3) in Ulverstone in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BA CoE will play on the road against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners (#2) in Wendouree and hope to win that game.
