Regular Season Round 7: Triple E-Uda - Portoviejo 68-78

Bottom-ranked Triple E-Uda (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-68 loss to third ranked Portviejo (4-2) in Gualaceo on Monday evening. It was a great evening for Adriano Barredas (-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Diego Javier Ferrin (-98) helped adding 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Venezuelan Yolvier Romero (-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and Venezuelan power forward Jean Pierre (205-91) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third place with 4-2 record behind leader Iccan. Newly promoted Triple E-Uda still closes the standings with seven games lost. Portviejo will meet Importadora (#5) in the next round. Triple E-Uda will play against Piratas in Ibarra and hopes to get finally their first victory.
