Regular Season Round 20: Anhui - Jiangsu L. 117-97

Very expected game when 13th ranked Jiangsu L. (2-18) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Anhui (13-7) 117-97. The game was mostly controlled by Anhui. Jiangsu L. was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anhui forced 28 Jiangsu L. turnovers. American swingman Manny Harris (196-89, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 42 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The other American import power forward Bernard James (208-85, college: Florida St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Anhui players scored in double figures. American-Palestinian forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and forward Wei Gao (193-88) added 21 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Jiangsu L.Anhui moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hunan and Luoyang. Jiangsu L. at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Anhui's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Dongbu (#14) in Nanjin and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu L. will play at home against Chongqing and hope to win that game.
