Regular Season Round 2: Osasco B. - Mogi 80-100

The game in Osasco supposed to be also quite interesting. Mogi (2-1) played at the court of Osasco B. (0-2). Mogi did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 100-80 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 100-80. Mogi shot 61.4 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Vithor Lersch (184-95) who scored 15 points and 7 assists. Naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points. Forward Igor Avelino (196-93) produced 15 points and naturalized Italian point guard Thiago Aleo (188-89) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Mogi and four Osasco B. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mogi will meet at home Liga Sorocaba (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Osasco B. will play against Paschoalotto/Bauru and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
