Regular Season Round 21: Lhasa - Henan 109-119

Leader Henan delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Lhasa (10-11) 119-109. It looked good early as Lhasa took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Henan had a 33-27 second period charge getting the lead and Lhasa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 109-119. Henan players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory with 41 points (!!!). American-Nigerian center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yuxiang Gao (195-93) answered with 24 points and 9 assists and American center Jonathan Kreft (213-86, college: Florida St.) added 17 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Lhasa. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Henan (18-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. Lhasa at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Henan will play against Guizhou (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lhasa will play against Luoyang (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
