No shocking result in a game in Fuzhou where second ranked Shaanxi W. (16-5) smashed 10th ranked Fujian (9-12) 121-100. The game without a history. Shaanxi W. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Shaanxi W. outrebounded Fujian 47-32 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Fujian helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) accounted for 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Four Shaanxi W. players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) came up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Ivorian-French point guard Mouloukou-Souleyman Diabate (181-87) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Fujian in the defeat. Fujian's coach Jiulong Liu gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Shaanxi W.. They maintain second place with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Henan. Fujian lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Shaanxi W.'s next round opponent will be Jiangsu L. (#13) in He Fei which should be another easy win for them. Fujian will play at home against Hebei X. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
