Barcelona managed to secure a 4-point victory 65-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juvenil. Strangely Juvenil outrebounded Barcelona 41-28 including 28 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Raul Cardenas (190-82, college: Faulkner) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American power forward Keith Bowman (201-91, college: Menlo, agency: SDJ Sports) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Barcelona players scored in double figures. Venezuelan guard Jovanni Diaz (195-92) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and Venezuelan Nelson Palacios (192-92) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Barcelona moved-up to third place, which they share with Importadora and Portviejo. Juvenil at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Barcelona's next round opponent will be Piratas (#6) in Ibarra. Juvenil will play at home against the league's leader Leones and hope to win that game.
