The game in Lanling supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Anhui (16-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Chongqing (12-11). Anhui smashed Chongqing 142-106 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Chongqing. The game without a history. Anhui led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded Chongqing 51-40 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Manny Harris (196-89, college: Michigan) who scored 42 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and Xin Wang added 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Anhui. They maintain fourth place with 16-7 record. Loser Chongqing dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Anhui will meet league's second-placed Shaanxi W. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chongqing will play against Beijing (#11) and hope to secure a win.
