The game in Portviejo supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Iccan (6-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Portviejo (4-4). Iccan did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-66 on Friday. Iccan well out of reach of Portviejo shooting 84.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 75.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) who scored 29 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international center Carlos Carcelen (202-81) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Adriano Barredas (-92) who recorded 23 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Erick Cobena (194-96) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iccan keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Leones. Defending champion Portviejo keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Barcelona and Juvenil. Iccan will meet at home Importadora (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Portviejo will play against Juvenil in Vinces and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
