Regular Season Round 25: Guangxi - Guizhou 127-114

The game between third ranked Guizhou (17-8) and seventh ranked Guangxi (15-10) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Guizhou was defeated by Guangxi in Guangxi 114-127. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 13 points. Guangxi outrebounded Guizhou 50-39 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Guizhou helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Guangxi players scored in double figures. American point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona, agency: Higher Vision Sports) answered with 58 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals and forward MingHao Li (200-92) added 13 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Guizhou. Guizhou's coach Guodong Zhang rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Guangxi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 15-10 record. Guizhou at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Guangxi are looking forward to face Fujian (#10) in Fuzhou in the next round. Guizhou will play on the road against Lhasa (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
