An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Guayaquil. First ranked Iccan faced 4th placed Piratas. Host Iccan (10-3) smashed guests from Ibarra (7-6) 91-64. The game was mostly controlled by Iccan. Piratas was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian-Venezuelan swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists. Venezuelan forward Juan Herrera (197-81) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Iccan players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican-Venezuelan swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, agency: Paris Global Sports) answered with 15 points and the former international center Carlos Delgado (202-90) added 10 points in the effort for Piratas. Piratas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Iccan have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-3 record. Piratas at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Importadora and Juvenil. Iccan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Guayaquil to the arena Barcelona.
