Regular Season Round 13: Leones - Portoviejo 73-59

No shocking result in a game in Riobamba where third ranked Leones (8-5) defeated 7th ranked Portoviejo (5-8) 73-59 on Saturday. American forward Corbin Jackson (203-92, college: Florida Tech) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and Andres Conchambay (-87) chipped in 19 points. Leones' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Adriano Barredas (-92) responded with 23 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Delino Terrell scored 16 points. Leones moved-up to second place, which they share with Barcelona. Defending champion Portoviejo keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Leones will meet Importadora (#4) in the next round. Portoviejo will play against Triple E-Uda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
