Regular Season Round 6: NLEX RW - Globalport 109-99

No shocking result in a game when third ranked NLEX RW (6-2) beat 9th ranked Globalport (2-4) in Makati City 109-99 on Sunday. NLEX RW forced 21 Globalport turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when NLEX RW made 9 blocks. It was a good game for American-Mexican forward Aaron Fuller (198-89, college: USC, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds. Guard Juami Tiongson (178) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five NLEX RW players scored in double figures. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and point guard Terrence-Bill Romeo (180-92) added 24 points and 4 assists in the effort for Globalport. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. NLEX RW have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Globalport keeps the ninth position with four games lost. NLEX RW will have a break next round. Globalport will play at home against Alaska Aces (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
