Bottom-ranked Triple E-Uda is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Portoviejo (6-8) 72-62 on Wednesday evening. Triple E-Uda was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 31-12 charge of Portoviejo, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Triple E-Uda to just 5 points in second quarter. Portoviejo well out of reach of Triple E-Uda shooting 100.0 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Portoviejo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 100.0 percentage. International guard Jonathan Arboleda (190-95) notched 23 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) to lead the effort and Cuban point guard Adriano Barreras (184-92) supported him with 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Portoviejo players scored in double figures. Even 20 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) by Santiago Tamariz (-96) did not help to save the game for Triple E-Uda. Santiago Espinoza (-90) added 16 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the guests. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 6-8 record. Newly promoted Triple E-Uda still closes the standings with 14 games lost.
