Regular Season Round 24: Our Saviour - UCU Canons 66-55

The most important game in the last round took place in between second ranked UCU Canons (10-4) and tenth ranked Our Saviour (4-8) on Wednesday night. UCU Canons were defeated by Our Saviour on the road 66-55. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of UCU Canons. Our Saviour forced 27 UCU Canons turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Steven Mwesigye who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward David Opolot (-89) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Tanzanian forward Fadhili Chuma (-95) with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Brian Namake (-90) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Our Saviour moved-up to eighth place. UCU Canons at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. They share it with Power. Our Saviour are looking forward to face league's second-placed Power in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCU Canons will play against Ndejje and are hoping to win this game.
