The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hidd (0-1) in Manama on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by Al-Najma (1-0) 99-74. Al-Najma outrebounded Hidd 62-50 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hidd's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Haminn Quantance who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 26 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Abbas Jawadi (178-90) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Al-Najma players scored in double figures. Hussain Lulu answered with 32 points and 7 rebounds and Ashraf Moaweya added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hidd. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Najma is looking forward to face Al-Bahrain (#9) in Manama in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hidd will play on the road against Al-Ahli in Manama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
