We should mention about the upset which took place in Brussels, where Royal Brussels (0-1) lost at home to Neufchateau (1-1) 70-86 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-70. Strangely Royal Brussels outrebounded Neufchateau 40-25 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Alexis Pierre (178-92) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Center Alexandre Billot (192-88) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Alex Tuluka-Mfumupembe (193-89, college: Missouri Western, agency: PEPI SPORT) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Faycal Lait (190-88, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neufchateau will face Gistel Oostende (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Royal Brussels will play against Waregem in Waregem and hope to win that game.
