Regular Season Round 2: Hanoi B. - Can Tho CF 71-79

The most surprising game was a loss of Hanoi B. (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Can Tho CF (1-1) 79-71. Hanoi B. trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 24 after three quarters before a 33-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 71-79 at the end of the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Can Tho CF made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St., agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 8 blocks. Swingman Tan Dinh Duy (192-95) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Guard Dat Nguyen Thanh (174) answered with 20 points and American Jordan Collins (208-82, college: N.Carolina St.) added 5 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Hanoi B.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Can Tho CF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hanoi B. will play against Thang Long W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
