No shocking result in a game in Manama where Al-Hala (2-0) defeated Samaheej (0-2) 74-56 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Samaheej 62-38 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Ahmed Haji (175, college: Highland CC, IL) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Ali Jaffar chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Sydney Coleman (204-93, college: Xavier, LA) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Jassim Mohamed scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Al-Hala will meet at home Al-Nweidrat (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Samaheej will play against Al-Manama (#4) in Manama and hope to win that game.
