Regular Season Round 7: Osasco B. - Bauru 66-67

Eighth-ranked Osasco B. (1-9) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (6-5) on Thursday. The visitors from Bauru managed to secure only one-point victory 67-66. However their fans expected easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Osasco B. won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Osasco B. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Point guard Guilherme Santos (189-97) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Luiz-Paulo Dos-Santos (210-89, college: Slippery Rock) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Osasco B.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Paschoalotto/Bauru moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pinheiros. Osasco B. at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru is looking forward to face higher ranked Paulistano (#3) in Sao Paolo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Osasco B. will play on the road against America (#7) in Rio Preto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
