Important game to mention about took place in Ieper. Gembo BBC (1-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Ieper (1-2) 67-65 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ieper won fourth quarter 29-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gembo BBC forced 22 Ieper turnovers. Ieper was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Jens Bouckaert (-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. Point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Robin Mestdagh (195-88, college: E.Kentucky) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Swiss center Stan Leemans (205-92, agency: Promotex) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ieper players scored in double figures. Gembo BBC will play against Gistel Oostende (#7) on the road in the next round. Ieper will have a break next round.
