Regular Season Round 1: Atleticos - Comuna 66-71

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Comuna (#2) and Atleticos (#6). Atleticos were defeated at home 66-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Naturalized Colombian point guard Jorge Leon (188-79) fired 19 points for the winners. Swingman Victor Calderon (195) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Endreso Ramos (185-95) produced 15 points and 4 steals and Christian Marquez added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Comuna will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atleticos will play on the road against Guaros 2 (#3) in Barquisimeto and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
