Regular Season Round 1: Chartres - Gries/Oberhoffen 80-83

A very interesting game took place in Chartres. It ended with only three-point home defeat of UB Chartres (0-1) to Gries/Oberhoffen (1-0) 83-80 on Saturday evening. UB Chartres was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Gries/Oberhoffen, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Ludovic Negrobar (207-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gries/Oberhoffen's next round opponent will be La Charite (#14) at home which should be an easy win for them. UB Chartres will play against Lorient (#6) and hope to win that game.
