Regular Season Round 1: Aubenas - GET Vosges 61-67

But Aubenas was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Golbey 67-61 on Saturday night. Aubenas was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Aubenas 36-23 including 16 on the offensive glass. Quite impressive performance for forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Kaiser) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Malcolm Gountas (189-94) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Larry Williams (191-86, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) answered with 17 points and forward Antonin Chardon (195-91) added 10 points in the effort for Aubenas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. GET Vosges will face Rueil (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Aubenas will play against Lourdes-Tarbes and hope to win that game.
