Regular Season Round 1: RAC Basket - ALS Basket 101-64

First defeat of league's leader ALS Basket (0-1) against Rueil (1-0) 101-64 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Rueil. ALS Basket managed to win third quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ALS Basket to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded ALS Basket 42-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by ALS Basket's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Karim Gourari (204-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Rueil players scored in double figures. American point guard Brandon Clark (183-93, college: Santa Clara) answered with 19 points and 7 assists and naturalized Congolese center Valentin Mukuna (207-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for ALS Basket. ALS Basket will play next round against Saint Vallier trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rueil will try to continue on its current victory against GET Vosges in Golbey.
