Regular Season Round 1: Energa Torun - JAS FBG 77-58

Energa Torun used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Sosnowiec 77-58. It looked good early as JAS FBG took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Energa Torun had a 21-10 second period charge getting the lead and JAS FBG was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-77. They outrebounded JAS FBG 36-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. Energa Torun players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. International Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Energa Torun players scored in double figures. American point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) produced 13 points, 9 assists and 5 steals and the other American import guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. JAS FBG's coach Miroslaw Orczyk rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Energa Torun's next round opponent will be Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and it will be for sure the game of the week. JAS FBG will play at home against TS Ostrovia (#11) and hope to win that game.
