Regular Season Round 1: Alvik Basket - Hogsbo 68-75

An interesting game was played in Stockholm where Hogsbo (#8) won against host Alvik Basket (#5) 75-68 on Sunday evening. Hogsbo forced 28 Alvik Basket turnovers. Strangely Alvik Basket outrebounded Hogsbo 129-109 including a 80-69 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hogsbo made 75 blocks. Guard Lukas Brehm (191-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Jacob Johansson (195-95) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Hogsbo's coach Yannick Trott used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Anton Miller (180-91, college: Claflin) responded with 16 points and forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Hogsbo will meet Koping Stars (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alvik Basket will have a break next round.
