Regular Season Round 3: Helsinki Rock - Barsy 62-65

A very close game took place in Helsinki between Kazakhstan Barsy and Finnish Helsinki Rock. Barsy (3-2) got a very close victory on the road over Helsinki Rock (0-5). Barsy managed to escape with a 3-point win 65-62 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Barsy outrebounded Helsinki Rock 52-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Askar Maidekin (205-97) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Adilkhan Marat (183-99) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Santeri Makkonen (-1) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Juhani Jokio (190-0) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Four Helsinki Rock players scored in double figures. Helsinki Rock's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
