Regular Season Round 6: Can Tho CF - Hochiminh CW 85-71

Third ranked Can Tho CF (4-2) beat at home 5th ranked Hochiminh CW (2-4) by 14 points 85-71, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Can Tho CF. Hochiminh CW was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Can Tho CF forced 31 Hochiminh CW turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St., agency: Inception Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and swingman Tan Dinh-Duy (192-95) supported him with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Four Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 32 points and 19 rebounds by American forward Bilal Richardson (203, college: N.Alabama) did not help to save the game for Hochiminh CW. His fellow American import guard Henry Nguyen (, college: Orange Coast CC) added 23 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Can Tho CF moved-up to second place, which they share with Thang Long W. Hochiminh CW at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Hanoi B.. Can Tho CF will play against Thang Long W. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hochiminh CW will play against the league's leader Saigon Heat and hopes to get back on the winning track.
