Regular Season Round 2: Levallois - Strasbourg 81-83

A very close game took place in Levallois between Strasbourg IG and Paris-Levallois. Strasbourg IG (1-1) got a very close victory on the road over Paris-Levallois (0-2). Strasbourg IG managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Tuesday evening. Paris-Levallois trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 24-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-83 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Strasbourg IG especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Georgian guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis, agency: Diamond Sports) who scored 19 points and 5 assists. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Four Strasbourg IG players scored in double figures. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Strasbourg IG will meet at home Chalons-Reims (#8) in the next round. Paris-Levallois will play against Chalon/Saor (#15) and hope to win that game.
