Regular Season Round 1: Toshiba BT - Nagoya DD 76-77

An interesting game was also home loss of Toshiba Thunders in a game in Kanagawa versus undefeated Diamond Dolphins (#1) 77-76. Toshiba Thunders were very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) nailed 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) accounted for 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) came up with 32 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-91) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Toshiba Thunders in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Diamond Dolphins will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toshiba Thunders will play again against Diamond Dolphins (#1) and hope to win that game.
