Regular Season Round 2: Tochigi Brex - SeaHorses 70-85

There was a small surprise when Aishin Sea Horses (1-1) defeated on the road Tochigi Brex (1-1) 85-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Sea Horses. Tochigi Brex was better in fourth quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Tochigi Brex was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Aishin Sea Horses and four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
