Very predictable result when Akita Happinets (2-0) won against at home Kumamoto V. (0-2) 73-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-59. Akita Happinets forced 25 Kumamoto V. turnovers. Quite impressive performance for point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-94) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Shigehiro Taguchi (184-90) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets' coach Josep Claros used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) answered with 16 points and forward Mao Fukuda (192-89) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kumamoto V.Akita Happinets will face again Kumamoto V. (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
