Regular Season Round 2: Artego Bydg. - Energa Torun 94-64

An interesting game for Artego Bydg. (2-0) which hosted in Bydgoszcz Energa Torun (1-1). Artego Bydg. had an easy win 94-64. The game without a history. Artego Bydg. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Energa Torun's 32. Artego Bydg. players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International point guard Julie McBride (163-82, college: Syracuse) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer O'Neill (165-90, college: Kentucky) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Artego Bydg.'s coach Tomasz Herkt felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Australian guard Lauren Mansfield (170-89, college: Iowa St., agency: ProDep Management) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artego Bydg. will play against TS Ostrovia (#8) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Torun will play at home against Wisla Krakow to get more than just one victory in their record.
