Regular Season Round 1: Tokyo Excel. - Saitama Bron. 113-91

First defeat of league's leader Saitama Broncos (1-1) against Tokyo Excel. (1-1) 113-91 was the most important game of the last round. Tokyo Excel. dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Point guard Tanno Aiki (172-95) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Five Tokyo Excel. and four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Saitama Broncos will play next round against strong Otsuka A. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Tokyo Excel. will try to continue on its current victory against Kagoshima in Renova.
