Very expected game when KUBS (0-3) lost to UCD Marian (2-0) in Greendale 58-76. UCD Marian dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to KUBS's 20. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Dan James (189-90) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Mike Garrow (193-91, college: E.Connecticut) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four UCD Marian players scored in double figures. UCD Marian's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Brian Andrews who recorded 28 points and 7 rebounds and center Shane McCann (198-97) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively.
