Regular Season Round 3: Lyon-Villeurbanne - Cholet 60-80

Everything went according to plan when Cholet (3-0) outscored on the road Lyon-Villeurbanne (1-2) 80-60 on Saturday. Cholet dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Lyon-Villeurbanne's 20. They outrebounded Lyon-Villeurbanne 44-12 including a 15-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cholet looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was center Warren Woghiren (207-98) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guyanese forward Youri Morose (200-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Five Cholet players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Theo Maledon (192-0) who recorded 18 points and 6 assists and guard Sofiane Briki (193-99) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Cholet will meet at home Dijon (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Lyon-Villeurbanne will play against Monaco (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
